Hi, I'm the maker behind Blackbird Designs MI — a one-woman studio tucked away in Northern Michigan, where I turn post-consumer fabric into bespoke sewn goods that are as functional as they are beautiful.

I started Blackbird Designs MI because I believe great design and sustainability aren't at odds. Did you know the average American discards 81 pounds of textiles a year? Every piece I make begins with fabric that might otherwise end up in a landfill. By giving these materials a second life, I get to create something meaningful while doing a little good for the planet.

Each item is thoughtfully designed and handmade with care. No mass production, no shortcuts — just intentional making, one stitch at a time.
